Real success stories from our members

Read why people love using Talkspace.

  • I've seen several therapists, but none felt right until I met Caitlyn. We clicked immediately. She's been so supportive in helping me build confidence and discover my strengths. Caitlyn listens without judgment, and I trust her with my most vulnerable thoughts. She's helped me uncover parts of myself I didn't even realize needed attention.

  • Erin is a wonderful therapist! She is not only a great listener and conversationalist but she also consistently brings in tools and therapeutic theories into the sessions. This allows the sessions to feel productive and meaningful. She lets you take the lead but is always an active participant during the sessions. I would definitely recommend her!

  • I cannot express how grateful I am to have found such a compassionate counselor. Sherry truly listens without judgment and creates a safe space for me to explore my feelings. Their empathy has made a significant difference in my journey toward healing.

  • Urwa really helps me focus on my negative self talk and ways to reframe them so that I can practice myself at home. She makes things easy to learn in session so I can keep using them when needed and not feel like I started all over again at every session. It shows me progress.

  • Evelyn was my first experience with counseling after a VERY long time- I was skeptical because of my last experience but she changed that. She accommodated me, she listened to me, she helped me work through my social anxiety and break free from the intrusive thoughts. I have an entirely new view on life and the things I can do, and I don't think I could've gotten to where I am today without her.

  • Cindy has been a great ear for listening. But most of all she's an amazing sounding board, to milling over thoughts, ideas and helping me explore my past and how I am affected by it in the present. When I talk to her, she picks key pieces about what I am saying and gives it back to me in a way that helps me understand myself. She helps me to understand my own brain. I am so happy to have found her!

  • It's a pleasure working with Michaiah Dominguez-Brown. After hearing her speak at a conference, I knew she'd be my therapist, and it's one of the best decisions I've made. As someone who used to hold everything in, Michaiah's warm demeanor and caring approach have made it easier to open up and manage my emotions. Her infectious smile and positive energy make every session worthwhile.

  • Grateful to have found Dr. Chrisanna! From our initial meeting I could tell that she has a deep caring for her patients' wellbeing and is passionate about her work. She is a great listener and her friendly demeanor makes it easy to open up. I look forward to continuing on this healing journey with her. I feel that I am in good hands.

  • As someone who has never done therapy before and was afraid to begin, Brandon was the perfect fit. He spent time explaining how therapy would work and tailored our sessions to my specific needs. Over time I saw amazing improvements. Highly recommend.

  • Amrutha is an excellent counselor. She shows great care and concern for her clients and helps support them in building healthier lives. She spends time focusing on their strengths and how they can help themselves while showing them effective coping skills. She is a great listener and always makes her clients feel safe.

Yes, online therapy has been shown to be just as effective as in-person therapy for many people and conditions. At Peaceful Psychotherapy, our therapists use evidence-based approaches in secure, virtual sessions to support your mental health goals. Many clients appreciate the flexibility and accessibility of online therapy, without sacrificing the depth or quality of care.

Online therapy sessions are very similar to in-person therapy, just held via secure video. In your first session, you’ll talk with your therapist about your goals, any concerns you’re experiencing, and what you hope to get from therapy. You’ll also have the chance to ask questions and get to know your therapist’s approach. Over time, sessions will adapt to your needs, whether you’re exploring emotions, learning new tools, or working toward specific goals.

At Peaceful Psychotherapy, our standard private pay rate is $120 per session. We also accept many major insurance plans, including Aetna, Cigna, Optum, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, and United Healthcare. If you’re using insurance, we’re happy to verify your benefits and walk you through any out-of-pocket costs before you begin.

If you're not using insurance, sessions are available at our private pay rate of $120 per session. Many clients find this to be a cost-effective option compared to traditional in-person therapy.

There are many different therapy approaches, and the best one depends on your goals and preferences. Some of the most commonly used at Peaceful Psychotherapy include:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): Focuses on changing unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors.
  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT): Helps with emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and relationship skills.
  • Psychodynamic Therapy: Explores how past experiences influence present behavior and emotions.
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): Encourages mindfulness and values-based action.
  • Client-Centered Therapy: Emphasizes empathy, acceptance, and personal growth.

Your therapist will choose the approach — or blend of approaches — that fits your needs best.

Therapists support clients in understanding themselves more deeply, managing emotional and psychological challenges, and building skills for personal growth. They listen without judgment, offer guidance based on evidence-based practices, and tailor treatment to your unique needs. At Peaceful Psychotherapy, all our therapists are licensed professionals committed to helping you feel supported, empowered, and heard.

The length of therapy depends on your goals and the nature of what you’re working through. Some clients find short-term therapy helpful for situational challenges, while others choose to continue for longer periods to explore deeper patterns or maintain their progress. In your first few sessions, your therapist will help you create a plan that feels right for you.

Signs that therapy is working can include feeling more hopeful, gaining new insights, improving your relationships, or noticing changes in how you respond to stress. Progress can be gradual, but consistent therapy often leads to lasting growth. If you're unsure whether therapy is helping, it's always okay to talk to your therapist about your experience — they’ll work with you to make adjustments.

Online therapy offers a level of convenience and accessibility that many people prefer. There’s no commute, it’s easier to schedule around a busy life, and it removes some of the barriers that can make starting therapy hard — like transportation, childcare, or finding a local provider. For many clients, this flexibility makes it easier to stick with therapy and focus on their goals.
