Charles Fox
Psychotherapist
I work primarily with adults who are seeking greater balance, fulfillment, and authenticity in their personal and professional lives. Many of my clients are professionals, creatives, artists, and other ambitious individuals navigating periods of stress, transition, uncertainty, burnout, or questions of identity, meaning, and purpose. Before becoming a therapist, I pursued a career as a professional actor. That experience continues to inform my work and gives me a firsthand understanding of ambition, performance pressure, perfectionism, rejection, and the challenges of balancing personal and professional identity while pursuing a meaningful life. My approach is grounded in person-centered and psychodynamic therapy. I believe that our past and present experiences, relationships, and environments shape the way we think, feel, and relate to ourselves and others today. At the same time, I believe therapy should be a personal, practical, and individualized process. Depending on your needs, I may incorporate evidence-based strategies, mindfulness practices, and psychoeducation to support meaningful and lasting change. While my practice primarily focuses on adults, I also have extensive experience in child-centered play therapy. In select cases, I may work with children and adolescents when their needs align with my clinical experience and approach. Clients often describe me as thoughtful, encouraging, direct, and empathic. In our work together, I strive to create a therapeutic space that balances insight, practical tools, authenticity, and even humor. I invite you to reach out when you're ready!
